Don’t Dismiss the Galaxy S10 with a Flat Display

Next year, we might see theGalaxy S10 launch with three models that each bring their own advantages.

Ice Universe, whose excellent track record for all things Samsung impresses, says there will be different sizes and display types for the trio. Samsung’s next flagship will include two 5.8-inch models and a 6.44-inch model. While many of there specifications will be similar, the South Korean company should make enough changes to have the prices target separate segments.

The 5.8-inch models are split between flat and curved displays. In the past, Samsung released its flagships with a flat display but then added Edge-branded variants. The Infinity Display became common across all high-end phones in 2017. Now it’s standard for the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series.

As for Samsung’s 6.44-inch model, it’ll have the Infinity Display. It’s also likely that a dual-camera setup lands on the back to raise the bar above its smaller counterparts.

The differences between the new Galaxy S10 models should let consumers choose what’s most fitting. Although the Infinity Display looks gorgeous, there are some who don’t like. Samsung’s also been criticized for making its high-end phones too big to hold comfortably. Based on this information, Samsung has listened and will increase choice.

Don’t expect the specifications to be fractured among them. All of the models will presumably include a premium chipset, Samsung’s most advanced camera module, Android 9.0 Pie, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Samsung should announce the Galaxy S10 in early 2019. The expectation is that the three models will be announced and released sometime in late February or early March. So the Galaxy S10 could be made official at MWC 2019 or a standalone unveiling shortly after.
